About us
Disaster and Environmental Management Organization (DEMO) is a Zimbabwean youth-led nonprofit organization working to protect vulnerable people and the environment in the country’s most vulnerable regions focusing on three urgent areas:
- preventing and managing disasters,
- protecting fragile environments from harmful activities, and
- improving access to quality healthcare for all.
We work directly with affected communities—specifically women, youth, and other vulnerable groups—to strengthen local solutions while pushing for stronger laws and better government policies.
Our Vision
We envision disaster-prepared communities living in an environment that is not harmful to their health or wellbeing and with full access to quality healthcare services.

Our Mission
Promoting effective disaster risk management, sustainable environmental and natural resource management, and advocating for universal healthcare access.
